Well, hello and a sunny good morning to you! 🌞 Now the Spring is here we can more easily soak up the sunshine and up our Vitamin D levels! Vitamin D supports the immune system function, regulates mood, and helps reduce inflammation.
Vitamin D is crucial for the absorption of calcium, promoting bone and teeth health. The best way to get it is from exposure to sunlight and it's so crucial to our health that the UK Government recommend that everyone in the UK take a Vitamin D supplement during Autumn and Winter, when we have less sun due to being in the Northern hemisphere.
Sources: Sunlight, oily fish, fortified milk, and mushrooms.
Recipe: Enjoy a Grilled Salmon with a Mushroom risotto! Grill a salmon fillet and serve with a creamy mushroom risotto. Serve with a green leafy salad. For Vegetarians and Vegans – you can double your mushroom portion or try this Black Pepper Tofu recipe from thebeet.com which looks amazing – I’ll be trying it soon!

Do something out of the ordinary today! Say hi to a neighbour, skip in the park or dance in the kitchen. Be energised, be magnanimous, be passionate! Fleur :)
