Hello Beautiful!

Do you know how essential Vitamin C is for your immune system?
It’s a powerhouse nutrient! Vitamin C is vital for the growth and repair of tissues in the body. It acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage by free radicals. It also improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods and supports healthy skin and blood vessels.
Sources: Oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, and broccoli.
Recipe: Try a refreshing Orange and sesame tossed salad! Just mix sliced bell peppers, orange segments, raw cashew nuts and two large handfuls of romaine lettuce,
drizzled with a little honey, sesame oil and lemon juice.
(I’ve added peppers to this recipe for added Vitamin C) Yum!

Vitamin C is often taken as a supplement, yet I would be wary of synthetically created Vitamin C which can be derived from GMO corn and has been shown to not be as effective as naturally sourced versions such as those that contain camu camu and rose hips. You can read more about this here: Why You Should Beware of Asorbic Acid. I will always recommend eating Vitamin C through foods as the most bioavailable way to take this amazing vitamin, however a UK based natural Vitamin C supplement can be found here: Natures Best
